20 BAPTISED IN ATLANTIC OCEAN

2O young men and women from Grace between the ages of 16 and 35 were baptised on Saturday 29 March in the Atlantic ocean while we were all at The Rising '08 Weekend at Trabolgan Co. Cork. The seas roared and howled and the waves were huge, so much so that it was hard to stand in the water. But following a morning of intense torrential rain and wind, the sun burst forth just as we were about to go down to the beach. And it shone for most of the rest of the afternoon praise God! Some of us thought that the stormy waters trying to intimidate & frighten us was a very good analogy of the Christian Life. The enemy so often tries to frighten & discourage us, but praise God no one turned back, all were baptised safely and there was great rejoicing. It was also a joy for us at Grace to partner with Dungarvan Christian Fellowship who had a further 3 people baptised on the day, including a woman in her sixties! We breed tough Christians round these parts lads don't we? Not a sissy in sight.

Monday Men

Calling all those who have signed up for "Monday Men". For the four Monday Evenings of April only, Cliff Gregston, pastor of Dungarvan Christian Fellowship will run a Discipleship Challenge course for young men between the ages of 18 to 30. This begins monday evening at the Grace Office from 8.00pm. No wimps need apply!

TeenStreet Germany

This Summer the Teens of Grace will be following travelling again on their annual “pilgrimage” to Germany for the Teen Street Germany event which runs from August 1st-9th Getting an early booking for flights etc is essential. If this is an event you would like to attend (and it comes highly recommended by last years sojourners!) We need to get your details and a deposit of €60 for the flights as soon as possible. The overall cost of the event is €360 but before the cardiac arrest sets in.. the teens are planning some pretty novel fundraising ideas.. including selling cocaine and hash after the meeting on Sunday, to help defray the cost! More details to follow.. to get your booking in bring the necessary pass the necessary deposit to Ciara Curran a.s.a.p.
